Pesticides have been at the forefront of debate over that last few years. The City of Calgary was looking at passing a bylaw that would ban the use of pesticides by homeowners. In December the bylaw was defeated.

 After the snow in October it's nice to see the sun shining for the start of November.

With October here it is now the time to put your gardens to bed. With nights becoming cooler and the reduction in precipitation, gardens have started to shut down for the winter.
